Cartoon Artist Michael Fischer's Story

When I was born, my first love was Mom! Then Bugs Bunny. I have been blessed with many gifts. My gift of humor and story telling feeds my passion for the visual arts and my life as an Artist. I Love the business of being a hard working artist, it's a natural thing and never feels like a sacrifice. Although my work is time consuming, it's timeless working. The world has produced millions of great artists, it's an honor to be among them. Artists often get the muddy side of the stick. Considering what I do and the colorful eye candy products and books I produce. I'm determined to become successful offering something no other Artist has brought to the table. It's a competitive world, being an indie freelance writer illustrator, I love to compete with the big boys and major publications and studios.

My specialty is creating special projects  to help raise funds and social awareness within my local community. I've been highly successful in elevating my Art in association with youth sports programs and professional sports leagues. Working with my childhood heroes has been the most personal rewards. When someone you've admired growing up says they Love my work, I'm overjoyed internally and left speechless. My special projects have raised thousands of dollars for travel tournaments, league auctions and kids expenses. I offer my products to my clients manufacture direct at wholesale cost which helps build friendly relationships with my clients. My website receives thousands of unique visitors per year through product sales and marketing through national and world distribution, E-commerce and social media.

I'm a small business, I shuffle from all departments to get the job done. I was thriving and doing very well as an artist, then the lock down shut me down and my creative department. It's a little hard to run a biz when they're telling everyone to stay home. I didn't have a home. My Mother passed away, she had a fatal stroke cooking and almost burned the house down at Christmas. I saved our home, Mom and our dog Lucy. But Mom didn't make it. Lucy and I moved and spent much of our time just trying to survive living in my car and hotels when I could afford one. It was the darkest time in my life. Lucy helped get me up everyday and moving. Dogs are the greatest gift! Lucy kept me grounded. During this time, my Art Studio was in storage. I knew if I remained positive good things would begin to show light.

Sadly, my dog Lucy passed before I moved into my new home. She would have really loved it here. I set up my studio! I wrote and illustrated a beautiful children's book I dreamed about when I was without a home. And I dedicated to Lucy. I'm back in the saddle again stronger and more determined than ever to make an impact in peoples lives with my Angels by my side.
